We’re Preform Equipment— a construction focused equipment, formwork, and crane rental company supporting high-rise construction in Halifax. We’re hiring a Construction Equipment Manager to own every piece of gear that moves from our yard to our clients’ sites (and back again).
What You Will Do
Think servicing customers through logistics, inspections, inventory, rentals, relationships, and problem-solving—all rolled into one essential role. You're the type who can look at a pile of construction equipment and see a schedule, a delivery, and a client’s solution.

- Handle every client equipment request from call to close
- Track what’s in the yard and what’s out in the wild
- Source what’s missing and schedule the drop
- Keep everything safe, certified, and in working order
- Set up and run our new storage yard
- Solve problems before they make it to site
- Build rock-solid supplier and contractor relationships
- Get creative: clients look for solutions not just rentals
- Track everything: inventory, usage and costs like it's your name on the invoice
What You Bring to the Table
- 5+ years in construction logistics or equipment ops
- DOKA/PERI, crane, concrete pump, material hoist experience
- Spreadsheet skills (Make accounting blush)
- Comfort working solo and collaborating with crews
- Curiosity to learn, listen and confidence to lead
- Your own vehicle and a license to roll
- A calm head when the phone rings at sunrise
- Read construction drawings in your sleep
- Deep knowledge and commitment to safety

Work Environment
You’ll be based out of our downtown office, with regular visits to the storage yard and job sites. This is a Monday to Friday role—but the project is the boss. Early site meetings, urgent deliveries, or a client call at closing time? You’ll handle it. You’ll be trusted to manage your time, your yard, and your results.
