Dexel oversees the operations of Dexel Developments Limited and Dexel Architecture, managing all aspects of project development from preliminary design to the final building commissioning and occupancy phase.

Summary Description:

As a member of the Project Team, identify and manage quality control and productive execution of the finish stage of construction across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Finish-stage commences with drywall and ends with turnover to end user. Perform and facilitate all quality control activities and requirements to provide the highest quality of finished product, with no outstanding items.

Core Responsibilities:

    • Build and maintain finish stage construction work-cycle and schedule in conjunction with project team to meet milestones and completion dates
    • Manage deficiencies lists and work with Contractors to ensure deficiencies are minimized and promptly corrected through dedicated software
    • Collect and review relevant data sheets, material spec sheets and installation method documentation
    • Ensure conformance of install and work being completed as per spec documents and contract while identifying methods to improve overall quality
    • Develop and maintain Quality Management Plan to ensure quality workmanship
    • Inspect completed and/or work in progress to determine work meets specifications and plan requirements
    • Coordinate turnover activities with project teams and assist in assembling turnover documentation for property management
    • Verify contractor quality requirements are specified to vendors and contractor documentation submittals
    • Integrate Quality activities across the sites and projects

Education / Training:

  • Engineering or Construction related degree/diploma
  • Construction Management Technologies Diploma
  • PMP Designation

Related Experience:

  • Managing construction projects, Multi-unit high rise
  • Quality control or quality assurance position

Skills / Knowledge:

  • Excellent computer skills including MS Outlook, MS Project, MS Excel
  • Familiarity with deficiency management software; Brigit Closeout
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings and documents
  • Comprehensive knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations
  • Quality control system, development, and implementation
